UNDUGU Family Culture Association (UFCA) is our full name. The name emphasizes several aspects of the newness of the culture we stand for.
To begin with, it emphasizes the fact that our goal is to promote a undugu family culture, that is, a culture of brotherhood, sisterhood, or familyhood based on equality of all in dignity and opportunity as opposed to the kind of cultures that dominate our world today such as the commercial culture.
By commercial culture we mean the one in which we meet one another but only as buyers and sellers of, say, services, commodities, talents and of even love. This is the culture in which relationships are only commercial. People relate or do good but only as far as it pays in terms of money, ones survival, security, power, glory or honor.
In such kind of culture we value the other for what he or she has. Any one who has nothing to offer towards, say our survival or glory is counted as no-body, no-brother, no-sister, no-father, no-mother.
In this kind of culture many people are ready to do anything, even killing others, for some money, survival, security, power or honor.
People, tribes or nations that succeed in accumulating money , wealth, power and honor even in this malicious way often end up becoming like lord gods who turn others into slaves and expect to be worshiped and glorified by all others.
